Can I have my rubbish removed during the lockdown?

  • In short, yes. It is an essential service but please consider if it is a priority.
  • Practice social distancing.
  • It is a good practice to place items for collection at least 72 hours ahead of the scheduled slot.

Do I need to delay my rubbish removal, house move, furniture delivery or any other project?

  • We encourage you to stay safe.
  • Follow the Government’s advice and postpone all projects which are not essential.
  • If you have symptoms, delay all projects and seek medical help by calling 111.
  • Move house or apartment if it can’t be avoided.
  • Remove rubbish if it is essential.
  • Deliver furniture, equipment or anything else only if it is essential.

  • Practice social distancing.
  • Avoid travelling in the same vehicle. Look for alternative solutions. If it can’t be avoided, the primary control method is to maintain high standards of hygiene in the vehicle.
  • Wash hands regularly.
  • Keep a hand sanitiser with you. Use it frequently.
  • Use heavy duty disposable gloves.
  • WHO doesn’t recommend to use masks unless you have symptoms or looking after a person with symptoms.
  • Avoid touching your face, nose or mouth.
  • Plan ahead the job with your customer. For instance, consider planning a no contact service.
